Pilot: “So Many Feelings”

Schmutzinberry is having difficulty experiencing so many conflicting feelings. A video call with his friends Aya Cash and Tommy Schrider help him center himself and focus on his creativity during this time of social distancing.

Aya Cash is currently appearing in Amazon’s acclaimed The Boys. She acted in FX’s Fosse/Verdon with Michelle Williams & Sam Rockwell, and was the lead for five seasons in FX’s You’re The Worst. Schmuztinberry really appreciates Aya’s friendship.

Tommy Schrider is known for his work on The Blacklist, The Americans, and other television, film, and New York stage performances. He goes by “Oliver” in the Pilot and is Schmutzinberry’s real life cousin.

Episode 2: “Wolfgang Gets The Beat”

Does everyone have rhythm? Maybe. Wait, what’s the difference between rhythm and beat again? Watch Wolfgang figure it out with his friend, violinist Rachel Barton Pine.

Rachel Barton Pine is a world famous violinist. Pine has appeared as a soloist with many prestigious ensembles including the Atlanta, Chicago, Montreal, New Zealand, and Vienna Symphonies. She was a child prodigy arriving as a violinist at 7 years old when she debuted with the Chicago String Ensemble. For more information on Rachel visit her site. Episode 3: “The Grocery List”

What notes should Wolfgang use in his next song? There are so many to choose from. Oh, and he needs to come up with a grocery list to order from the store. How do you choose things when everything is so confusing around us? Schmutzinberry’s Musical Theater friends Mara Davi and Jason Tam help him figure it all out through a big Broadway style number. Mara Davi (Chorus Line on Broadway)and Jason Tam (Be More Chill on Broadway) help him figure it all out through a big Broadway style number.

Mara Davi has appeared on Broadway most recently in The Play That Goes Wrong. She was also seen on Broadway in Dames at Sea (Astaire Nomination), The Drowsy Chaperone and the Original Revival Cast of A Chorus Line. Her television credits include FBI, Prodigal Son, Mysteries of Laura,The Good Wife, Taxi Brooklyn, Smash, and Blue Bloods. On film, Mara can be seen in Kensho at the Bedfellow and Every Little Step. Jason Tam Jason Tam was last seen on TV in the hit NBC Live Jesus Christ Superstar as Peter. Most recently on Broadway he was in the cult hit Be More Chill and Off-Broadway in the immersive show KPOP for which he won the Lortel Award.  Jason’s Broadway credits include IF/THENLysistrata Jones, and the original Paul in the revival of A Chorus Line. He has also been part of numerous Off-Broadway and regional theatre productions. Jason has been a regular on  One Life to Live and Beyond the Break and can be seen in the documentary, Every Little Step. 

Episode 4: “The Flu Shot”

A trip to the doctor? Time for a Flu shot? Schmutz isn’t afraid. No, wait. Maybe he is afraid. But should he be?

Dr. Marc Wager has played French Horn with many orchestras, chamber groups, opera and theater groups throughout the tri-state area.  Marc is a participant at the Chamber Music Conference and Composer’s Forum of the East at Bennington College.  He practices pediatrics in New Rochelle, where he lives with his wife Teresa.
